The Medifast Program Has Become Popular Among Those with Gluten Allergies

People who suffer from gluten allergies like celiac disease often have hard times with finding dietary plans that they can get into. This is why Medifast has worked hard to prepare its products with a naturally gluten-free arrangement. A variety of foods in the Medifast program are made with no gluten in them whatsoever.

Medifast makes gluten-free food options as a means of targeting those who have celiac disease. In addition, Medifast is also looking to sell its products to people who simply want to avoid gluten because it can be harder to digest than other foods.

Medifast’s gluten-free arrangement is intended to get people to take advantage of weight loss foods. In fact, the foods have been fully endorsed by the Gluten-Free Certification Organization. The GFCO has some of the country’s strongest gluten-free standards. Therefore, it should be easier for people to eat the foods used in the diet.

Medifast currently makes a little more than forty different gluten-free products. Each of these products is distinguished by a GF symbol located on the front of the box.

In fact, the program is expected to add more gluten-free products in the near future. This comes as more people are beginning to take notice of the gluten-free lifestyle and see the health benefits that come out of it.

The key about the foods used in the gluten-free series is that they are free of many of the grains that gluten is naturally found in. These include such grains as barley, rye and wheat.

In fact, the foods that are included in the diet include a few special variants of products that traditionally contain gluten in them. Medifast makes gluten-free pancake mixes in a variety of flavors. All a person has to do is prepare the pancake mix with water and heat as needed.

A number of soups are also covered in the company’s gluten-free line of products. These soups include vegetarian sloppy joe, cream of tomato and Maryland crab soup.

A few snacks and desserts are made without gluten as well. Several products in the Crunchers line of snacks are gluten-free. These include the barbeque, cheese pizza and chili nacho cheese bites. Other desserts that have been certified as gluten-free include the chocolate chip cookies, brownies, peanut butter soft serve and banana pudding.

Just about every type of shake is available for gluten-free customers to use. Medifast makes a number of shake mixes and ready-to-drink shakes in a large variety of flavors ranging from vanilla to orange cream. These gluten-free shakes are easy for the body to drink and should not cause too much stress.

These foods can be ordered by a person with celiac disease by simply specifying the need to order a gluten-free meal package. Medifast will send a two or four week supply of gluten-free foods to the recipient’s door. The specific foods included in the plan will feature ones that were specifically chosen by the diet participant based on that person’s tastes and interests. This includes looking to get some sense of variety going in the diet.

The average results of the gluten-free part of the Medifast diet are often the same as what others would get out of it. An average person will lose two to five pounds during the first week or two of the diet. The weight loss will go down to about one to two more pounds per week for as long as the person continues to follow the diet.

The best part of this diet is that it is made with plenty of dietary fiber and protein. This is used to support a healthy digestive system. It is often harder for people with celiac disease and other gluten-related problems to develop healthy digestive systems. The program does make it a little easier for people to live their lives without any serious backups in their digestive tracts.

The Medifast program is a very popular diet system that allows people with gluten-related problems to experience weight loss without risking one’s digestive system. It is prepared so it can be easy for the body to live with and to advantage of. The variety of gluten-free products makes the program very interesting for anyone to use when trying to lose weight.
